You all lift up your holy hands. Our father did this since ancient times. When the patriarchs walked the earth and men like Abraham and Noah after the fall of Adam men began to turn their eyes back again to a long-lost home and they signified it by lifting their hands to another world which their eyes could not see. And great men like David shouted into our hearts, “Lift up your holy hands unto the Lord!” Amen. And so Father we lift our hearts unto You. We are mortals, we live in time and sequence and we lift our hands to You, a physical act that demonstrates the lifting (of) our hearts, our eyes, our perspective, our longing, our desires beyond the limits of time, and beyond the limits of this broken mortal world. They indicate to You our longing to be joined with Your forever and we lift up or worship, lift up our worship unto You.
