God responds to things that are built. He came down after Solomon built a temple. Not when Solomon unconsciously slapped some things together. He built that thing. He went to Ophir, he brought back gold, he hired laborers, he put things in place, he hammered things, he put wood, he built that temple, he built that thing and when that thing was built, God came down and filled it with smoke; knocked down the priest, for a whole day nobody could minister. God inhabits built things. That’s the principle.

God inhabits a built life, not a carelessly thrown together life, a built life. God inhabits temples. He comes down to things that have been built, built values, built lives, built decisions, choices, doctrine, aligned inside of your life. God inhabits built things, built communities with leadership, structures, ranking, values established and built.

He is always saying, “Build Me a house! Build Me a house! Build Me a house!” Why does He ask to build a house? He likes things built. God is God of architecture and form and shape. If you understand that, then that brings your life into a certain structure before God. Amen.

That’s beautiful, isn’t it? Alright, lift up your hands and say God, help me to build my life before You. Help me to build in the power of the Holy Spirit. Help me to structure my life, structure my heart, structure myself in Your presence. Build my life God, build me by the power of the Holy Spirit. Put everything in place, soul, spirit, body in proper balance, alignment and order. Psyche, psychology, thinking, values and culture. Structure me, build me, make me a structured, beautiful temple and a house of God that You can come down and inhabit.

Build us as a community of form and shape and beauty in the midst of the chaos of the day. When everything is falling apart and looking ugly, cover us with beauty and structure and form in our community. Bring our relationships and our life into a greater semblance of beauty and form before You. Make my family structured and ordered and beautiful. Cause my household to be full of the form of God, the architecture of God. Help me, by the power of the Holy Spirit, help me to build. Help me to build my heart, help me to build my mind, help me to build myself, my spirit before You. Help me to build. Give me structure and shape and form in my life. Amen.
