Faith and the treasure of patience. Here’s a scripture, Hebrews 6: 10-14, God is not unjust, He will not forget your work. He will not forget your work and the love you have shown to him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. God will not forget your work. That’s a very comforting scripture. As we help his people and continue to help them we are showing Him that we love him. Verse 11, we want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. And you see the connection between faith or what you hope for and diligence to the end. And we want full realization of what God wants to bring forth in the earth. Look at this great scripture. Verse 12, so that you do not become sluggish. Don’t become sluggish. Imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Abraham waited for a city whose builder and maker is God. “Faith and patience” causes you to inherit the promises. For when God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by God swore by himself, saying, I will surely bless you and give you many descendants says God talking to a hundred year old man. And so after he had patiently endured he obtained the promise. After he had patiently endured. We are looking at the relationship between active faith and the promise. Amen.
