This is from Philippians Chapter 3:12-14 Paul is saying, I haven’t yet attained, I haven’t arrived or I’m already perfected, but I press on, I press on and I want everybody to press on. He is saying that I may lay hold of  that for which Christ Jesus has laid hold of me. Brethren I don’t count myself to have apprehended but this one thing I do, I forget the things that are behind and I reach forward to the things which are ahead. I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

There is so much in that scripture but the thing I want to zero in on is the fact that he presses on, he presses on. And in pressing on he is discounting the past forget yesterday. Deal with where God is at now, where God is taking you. Fasten your eyes upon the future, God is taking us some place, He is taking you some place. He is taking your family some place, even if you may have been passing through some troubling circumstances now, at the back of all those troubling circumstances is God leading you to some place and God always leads us to a better place than we were before. When He turns up, when we stand before Him, you don’t want to be bereft, that means to be empty, to have loss. You don’t want to be lacking. You won’t want to have nothing on the inside of you to show to Him.

You want to bring a self before Christ that is full of longing and maturity and that you have a track record of desire for Him, a press towards obtaining, a press towards maturity because remember, when you see Him you’re entering into rest. All the tiredness, all the effort will mean nothing, all of the effort now is your investment into rest, your investment into eternal joy, your investment into eternal rest, before God.  So, it’s ok if there is effort. It’s ok if you are under a little bit of stress, it’s ok if you have to fight one more day. It’s ok if you’re in the middle of a struggle and you are in the middle of the fight of your life. The fight of your life.

And all I say to you is fight on, fight on, dig in your toes, dig in your heels, lift up your tired arms and fight on another day, forget yesterday. Forget when your strength went yesterday, stand in today and fight on to tomorrow, fight on with eagerness and diligence. Put that faith inside of your hears and fight on. Call tomorrow towards you, call towards your better day, say tomorrow come to me, come to me with more blessing, come to me with more resource, come to me with more strength, come to me tomorrow with more transformation. Call tomorrow towards you, fight on.
