There are some fundamental issues of the truth of basic salvation. I don’t want us to get so elevated in our concepts that we forget that you are saved. You have been redeemed. There are some fundamental aspects of basic salvation. 2 Corinthians 5:17, I am going to read from the New Living Translation. “Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person.” I want the authority and the imperativeness of the scripture which we celebrate, which we honour, to explode into our hearts. Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone. The new life has begun. The old life has gone, the new life has begun. This is the New English Translation, “What is old has passed away. Look, what is new has come.” This is the NIV, “The old has gone. The new is here.” The Amplified “A spiritual awakening has arrived that brings new life.”

It points to the simple reality that the fact of salvation of receiving Jesus Christ as your savior, receiving forgiveness and removal of your life from under the power of sin, the crushing power of darkness and sin. That you have received forgiveness and you have received sonship from God, you receive salvation, you receive redemption, you receive forgiveness of sins, you receive renewal, it’s real. It’s real and it must become experienced. It must prevail in your life.
