I am going to read a few verses from Psalm 145.  This is David writing, our brother David.  He wrote this actually.

“I will extol You God my O King. I will bless Your name forever, and ever. Every day I will bless You and I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised and His greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise Your  works to another and shall declare Your mighty acts. I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty and on Your wondrous works. Nations speak of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness. They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness and shall sing of Your righteousness. The Lord is gracious, the Lord is full of compassion. He is slow to anger, and He is great in mercy. The Lord is good to all and His tender mercies are over all His works.”

The Lord’s tender mercies and we do need the tender mercies of God upon us in this wreckage of mortality in which we live. But the Lord is good to all and His tender mercies are over all His works. And so we rise, we stand to our feet, we rise to exalt Him, we rise to magnify Him, we rise to praise Him, we rise to lift Him up and in the midst of that we are strengthened and fortified and our life flows outward towards the upper realm in this season of brokenness and judgement and desperation that live in, in the earth, but yet above us there is a shining glorious dimension of the presence of God and we lift up our hearts unto Him today.
